Described as a "dual-threat" leader, Sumedh combines the analytical precision of a governance expert with the commercial foresight of a business operator. While fully credentialed as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), he is equally fluent in pipeline conversion, pricing strategies, and cross-functional agility.

At his core, Sumedh’s leadership philosophy is anchored in accountability, transparency, and foresight. He believes that the best leaders create systems that empower others to move with confidence and perform at their peak. Whether mentoring high-performing global teams or advising the C-suite on capital allocation, he brings both rigor and empathy to the table.

Sumedh holds a Master of Professional Accounting from the University of Queensland and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Mumbai. He is also trained as a Project Management Professional (PMP) and holds a Six Sigma Green Belt, rounding out a toolkit built for navigating, and leading, the future of global finance

Sumedh is unapologetically "tech-native." He actively leverages artificial intelligence, automation, and advanced analytics to translate digital innovation into tangible P&L realities. His past initiatives, including the development of an automation Center of Excellence that eliminated 42,000 hours of manual work, demonstrate his ability to scale efficiency while raising the bar on accuracy and control.

Currently acting as the Global Head of Operations - Transformation and Cost Management Office at CBRE, Sumedh directs a massive multi-year organizational change roadmap. By aligning finance, operations, and technology, his leadership has optimized global footprints and delivered over $550 million in sustainable savings. His career trajectory—spanning roles such as Global Chief Financial Officer of the Business Services Organization, Head of Global Finance Innovation, and CFO of Japan—showcases a consistent track record of accelerating growth, managing long-range planning, and leading full-lifecycle M&A integrations.
